About Mimi
Dominic “Mimi” Barona was born in Montañita, Ecuador, and is a South American surfer and World Surf League champion.
Mimi started surfing when she was 13, thanks to the influence of her older brother, Israel. She lives in Montañita, one of Ecuador's surfing capitals, which allows her to train daily to perfect her technique.
Mimi is the ambassador for our headquarters in Ecuador
